UnderwaterTimes | Underwater Nude Model Bitten by Shark on Photo Shoot; ‘We Push the Envelope’
Essick was working on a new coffee-table picture book of disrobed women interacting with sea life in the Bahamas last week (October of last year) when his muses bumped into overly friendly reef sharks.
This falls into one of those moments where a really cool artistic idea could have ended very badly. It’s hard to see in the picture above, but that large white mass to the girls left is a shark that got caught in the fishnet the woman in the photo was wearing at the time. It got out on it’s own without hurting her. The other girl on the shoot had one of the sharks decide to get a taste of her foot. Luckily it let go and decided that she didn’t taste as good as he had hoped. Which is really amazing to me. I can say with some certainty that if a shark took hold of my foot I would not have stayed calm and slowly gone to the surface after it let go.
The photographer Todd Essick has the shots up on his website, as well as a lot of other very beautiful underwater shots on his site. essickphoto.com

Well, I am starting to get the gallery filled with my work. It’s at least up to the same state my last website normal.org.uk was at. There are a few new items in there, now I can start adding more recent work in.
I will tell you a little about my mascot. His name is Frankenbunny. He is a stuffed bunny I have had for many years. Frankenbunny lived a good life, he was loved and cuddled lots. Then I had the misfortune of falling for the wrong girl. She was beautiful and exciting and I thought she was great. I was young and rather stupid. Frankenbunny and I went off to live with this girl. Then as time went on this girl went rather insane. She ended up chopping up frankenbunny in a fit of anger towards me. Then she felt so bad about it afterwards that she tried to put him back together. Unluckily for poor frankenbunny she had lost his eye and tail. She mended him as best she could, we parted ways and I have been stitching poor frankenbunny back together anytime he needs it since then. That’s the history of frankenbunny.

I am working on getting all of my old work up and organized into my gallery. Due to the terrible mess of an organization system for images on my hard drive this is taking me a while. Hopefully I will get most everything up by tomorrow.
Until then I will share with you a cute video that I love.
A great masters thesis piece by an obviously talented animator.
Hope you all enjoy.
